McCord Gallery & Cultural Center, Palos Park. IL
October 18 through November 17, 2017
This is my first solo show in more than four years and I am happy to be showing a body of work together for the first time that encompasses my popular series of figures and botanicals. Since I began exploring this theme, several of the pieces have been exhibited across the country in group shows. Some have been purchased and now reside within esteemed art collections.
The 20 works on view in this exhibit will represent a series of portraits that combine realistic figures with fantastic floating botanicals. The combination explores the dynamic between the eternal and the temporal, as well as humanity’s relationship with nature.
The McCord Gallery & Cultural Center is next to my hometown of Orland Park, so this will be exciting for me to feature such a comprehensive exhibit so close to where my earliest interest in art began.
